Imitating Christ: His Prayer Life 3

I remember when I had to make a decision on a recent employment adjustment.  Discerning God's will was tough because I was not sure what to do. I thank the Lord that He led me. 

 What do you do when you are at a cross road in your life?  Who do you talk to?  Where do you go?  What do you read?

Jesus had to choose who His disciples were going to be.  Obviously, this was a pretty important decision that he was going to make.  The church was going to be built upon the ministry of the disciples teachings.

With this important decision up ahead, Jesus Prayed all night.

Luke 6:12 (NKJV)
¹² Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

There are some things in life that take focus and attention.  There are different types of prayer but we need to have times that God has our undivided attention.  We need to have seconds, minutes, and hours that God has our undivided attention.  This takes effort and it is challenging but we must follow the example of Jesus and set that time apart.
