I went to the doctor yesterday because I had some deep coughing and chest congestion. Apparently my body is fighting Bronchitis. This got me thinking about the subject of healing and the Blood of Jesus Christ. I wanted to post a faith confession that is based on God's Word. I confess not what I see only, but what I believe!
More times than I would like to admit, I based the confession of my faith on what I could see and not what I believed. This is a tragic way of life. We are called "believers" not "see'ers". I pray this encourages your faith!
Isaiah 54:4-6
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.(NIV)
Jesus bore my sicknesses and carried my pains. He was smitten, afflicted, and pierced through the hands and feet because of my transgressions. HE was bruised and battered because of my wickedness. He became sick with my sicknesses and suffered excruciating pain on my account.
What He did on that cross and in those three days and nights of pain, He did willingly. He took my punishment upon Himself and gave me His peace in return. Because of His wounds, I am made well. I am now totally healed in spirit, soul, and body. In Him, I am made whole.
I was like a sheep that had turned to his own way and I rejected the way of righteousness, but the Lord laid all of my iniquities, first to last, upon Jesus, and now there is nothing left that can separate me from Him.

Do you utilize the Word of God in this way regularly? If not, why? If so, what changes in your life have you seen?
